Right To Play UKI am young and ambitious with a passion for sports, IT and development. I was brought up in Ethiopia where my family still lives, but have been studying and working in the UK for the past nine years. My previous work was in management consultancy in London, which I first joined on a gap year after high school. |

My education is in Computer Science and Business with a MSc in System Analysis and Design. A keyinterest is in the use ofICT for development purposes.
With Right To Play I can fulfil my twin ambitions of using IT for development purposes and working for a cause that uses fun, sport and games to teach children and youth.
What's your nickname and why?
Lately it has been Garcon G
Where do you go / what do you see / who do you turn to for inspiration?
Music is my inspiration. When I need something to lift me up, excite me and give me some good vibes, then play me a tune and I'm inspired.
First music album you ever purchased?
Labour of Love by UB40 - for the song 'Johnny Be Good'
Favourite film and why?
Too many to mention.
Favourite sport?
Football. It's a team game in which everyone has to help each other to win. If I want some personal glory, then I sprint - in the 100m, 200m, and 400m.
Best personal sporting moment?
In high school when I was the 100m and 200m champion within the international schools competition.
If you had an open plane ticket, where would you go?
Ethiopia. Even though I grew up there and it's home, it is an amazing country with spectacular history, culture and some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world.
If you could only pack three items, what would you take?
My music, my camera and a toothbrush. There is nothing better than fresh breath, entertainment and capturing pieces of your trip.
