Liz Yelling claims National Cross-country Championship for 4th time
Everyone at Right To Play would like to congratulate our athlete ambassador, Liz Yelling, for once again winning the National Cross-country Championships.
This is Liz’s 4th success in what is one of her favourite races of the season. “This is a massive event for me. There is always a great atmosphere because everyone from the U13s to the professionals all compete on the same course on the same day.” Liz once again broke the course record, a feat she repeated at the Reading marathon recently too.
This has been great preparation for the London Marathon in April which will also serve as the Olympic trials. Naturally Liz is aiming to be in the team for Beijing, “Everything is going to plan so far and I hope to be the first Brit across the line in London.” Everyone here at Right To Play would like to wish Liz all the best in her bid to reach the Olympics.
