Right To Play UKAde Adepitan is one of the best known faces in British Sport thanks to his frequent appearances on television, whether as a sportsman or, more recently, as a BBC presenter. Ade contracted polio when he was six months old, but was inspired to take up wheelchair basketball after seeing the British team in action. Since then Ade has won more than 90 caps with the British team, which won Gold at the 2005 World Cup, Silver at the 2004 European Championships, Bronze at the 2004 Paralympics and Silver at the 2002 World Championships. He was also a high profile ambassador for London's successful bid for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. |

In 2005 Ade was awarded an MBE for services to disabled sport. He is a patron for the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball Association and became an Athlete Ambassador for Right To Play in January 2007.
