Lorrie Fair Put Through Her Paces at Launch of New Half Marathon

Photo by Zoe NorfolkRight To Play ambassador Lorrie Fair took part in an energetic, albeit damp, workout demonstration at the Launch of the new Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon on April 30th. Lorrie, who is a former World Cup winning USA international and now plays for Chelsea Ladies, was joined by other ambassadors in a demonstration conducted by British Military Fitness who will lead the warm up at the race itself on October 12th.

The ambassadors, which also included polar explorer Rosie Stancer, TV presenter Ben Fogle, and former Ireland rugby international Keith Wood  together with sponsors and members of the press attended the event in Hyde Park to officially launch this exciting new event. Spirits were not dampened by the wet weather with everyone optimistic about the potential success of this new half marathon. The course which starts and finishes in Hyde Park and takes in St. James’ Park, Green Park and the Embankment is unique in that it is the first of its kind in central London.

As an ambassador for Right To Play, which is an official partner of the half marathon, Lorrie will represent the charity at the race on October 12th. If you would like the chance to run alongside her and the other celebrity ambassadors you can if you run in aid of Right To Play. We have 150 places to give away to anyone who will pledge to raise sponsorship.  Simply email Abi Tordoff at atordoff@righttoplay.com for a registration pack.
