Henry’s Pedal Power For Right To Play

On Sunday 6th July, whilst the rest of the world was watching Lewis Hamilton win his first Silverstone Grand Prix and an epic Wimbledon men’s final between Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer, Pitch PR CEO Henry Chappell was pedalling up two tortuous ‘cols’ of a mountain stage of the Tour de France – and in doing so raising more than £9,000 for Right To Play.

Completing the course in nine hours and 58 minutes (Italy’s Leonardo Piepoli won the professional race in four hours and 19 minutes this year), Henry’s feat has set the benchmark for the rest of the agency to follow.

Since becoming Right To Play’s official PR agency, the Pitch team has thrown it’s full support behind the charity by pledging to raise £20,000 during 2008. Thanks to Henry’s efforts on the 165 km bike ride in the Pyrenees from Pau to Hautacan via the infamous and never-ending Col Du Tourmalet, Pitch is now almost half way to its target for the year.

When asked for a comment on his amazing endeavor Henry simple said: “I won’t be doing anything this foolish ever again.”
